Peggy Olson has been in the fitness industry for over 20 years teaching TRX group fitness, Spinning and Boot Camp classes. Peggy fell in love with Paddle Boarding 3 years ago and took to fitness on the board with other Lake Country instructors. Peggy has been teaching SUP Basic and SUP Fitness classes for 3 years and she has her Level 1 certificate through the Word Paddle Association. Peggy loves teaching paddle classes and states. The best part of teaching SUP classes is seeing someone overcome their fear of doing fitness moves on the board. I love seeing their happy faces when they do moves they never thought they could do on the water. SUP is my happy place and motivating others is what I love to do!
Trish Washburn received her 200-hour teacher’s trainings from both Kriya Temple and Alignment Yoga. Her fluid, fun style comes from her own experiences and from being open to different teaching styles and has deemed her style ‘a yoga mut’. On her yoga journey, She loves participating in all styles of yoga. Trish is inspired by the deep transformations of body, mind, heart, and soul that yoga can engender for practitioners. Trish’s teaching style is fun, creative and non-judgmental with an emphasis on releasing everyday stress and negative attitudes to experience the joy yoga brings. She brings a fun modern edge to her classes by incorporating unique and modern music, dynamic flows and challenging variations to the practice. She is firmly grounded in alignment principles and an avid fan of yoga philosophy: lessons in yoga, perhaps lessons in life.
Soleil Lune is pleased to partner with Nomad Boardsports of Summit, to offer you the chance to take your yoga onto the beautiful waters of Upper Nemahbin Lake. Paddleboard Yoga Classes are yoga fused with the exciting art of Stand-Up Paddle-Boarding. Participants will learn how to properly use a Stand-Up Paddle-Board and how to perform dozens of different yoga poses while floating on the natural splendor of the serene waters of our Lake Country Area. Because the poses are being performed on a moving surface, you will be engaging muscles that you would not normally engage on dry land. Because your postures have to be aligned with even weight distribution on the boards, you will not only be benefiting from a challenging class, but you will also be improving your in-studio yoga practice as well. Serenity awaits! Not meant for the true beginner yoga student. No paddleboard experience necessary. Please note you are only signing up for the first day of the session.
